Originally written for customers, The Email Laundry is offering free apps and tools to Sys Admins everywhere, in order to celebrate System Administrator day on July 28^th, 2017. Available on both iOS and Android, the DNS lookup allows users to perform MX, A, NS, TXT, and Reverse DNS lookups directly from their smartphone. The Email Laundry also offers an SPF Wizard app for Android users to seamlessly generate SPF records for their domain and identify all the servers which could be expected to send mail from their domain directly within the app.

Along with the DNS Lookup app, users can also use the company’s MX Lookup tool on their website to do easy and free lookups for MX and DNS records as well as reverse DNS lookups.

• Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is a framework for publishing information through DNS describing a list of IP addresses allowed to send emails from a specific domain. Most domains send outbound mail through a relatively small number of servers. Domains should describe that set of servers in an SPF record in their DNS. Internet email receivers can then reject forged messages which don't come from an envelope sender domain's approved servers.
• Domain Name System (DNS) dictates which mail servers are allowed to accept emails are expected to be sent from a certain domain.
• MX Records specify how email should be routed with Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)
